Day: 5

Today we were going to leave Puerto Rico and go back home, but our flight didn't leave until three so we  went to the Juan a Rivero a Zoo. We were just coming out of the tiger exhibit it started to rain. I guess that's because it's the rainy season, the rainy season starts in April and ends in November. So we just went to the hotel for the rest of the day. Luckily when it started to rain it was 2:00 so we only had to wait an hour to wait for the departure from Puerto Rico. We really will miss Puerto Rico but I think we miss home even more!

Day: 4

Today Naomi wanted to go to the Museo De Arte De Puerto Rico. This is an art museum, garden shops, and theaters.  We spent all day here it was so cool. We went to the garden shop Leighton and Naomi bought a plant but Jade did not. Then we bought tickets to go see a movie we were not really sure what movie it was because it was in Spanish, Spanish and English are the official languages of Puerto Rico. The movie ended the day and we went back to the hotel to chase dreams.

Day 3 ( The fishermen )

Today we decided to go fishing for Jades sake. We went to Dos Bocas Lake in Utuado, Puerto Rico. Before we started fishing we took a stroll by the lake just to check out everything out. We got started fishing at 8:00 because Jade wanted to start early. But 3:00 is when the residents of Utuado get to fish we spent the rest of the day watching how they fished. And Jade taught them some of his own tricks.

Day 2

We got up to go to the San Juan gate. Leighton wanted this to be a historic day and the rest of the gang was fine with it. We were so amazed by it. This gate was the entrance to the city four centuries ago! Once we were done with that we went to the palomino inland to go scuba diving so we could have a break from history. We saw so many fish. This was the first time any of us have done this because we live in Nebraska. After we were done exploring the deep sea we went back to history class. We went to the San Juan historic site. This site was constructed to defend the San Juan coastline. I was composed of six huge levels of ramps barracks dungeons turrets towers and tunnels. It was the coolest thing we had saw so far on land.

Getting to Puerto Rico

Today we set our feet on the ground at the Luis Muñoz international airport. Puerto Rico uses the United States Dollar so we didn't need to get a different type of currency. We went to the hotel to unpack and we didn't really know what to do so Naomi suggested that we go to the beach. When we landed we saw a beach by the airport. So we went there. It was really fun and the good thing was that it was by the airport because Jade forgot one of his suitcases! After we were done hanging out at the beach Leighton had the Mango Brûlée that us made out of mangos, brown sugar, orange juice, and a lime cut into wedges. It was delicious! Naomi had the Boriqua pork burgers, Jade also had it. This contained ground pork, adobo seasoning, bread crumbs, and olive oil. It was wonderful! When we were done we went to the hotel to get some shut eye.
